3 Top Tips for Relaxation

Relaxation is often seen as a luxury, but it is essential to a healthy lifestyle. In this blog post we outline a few of our best tips to help you restore your body to its natural, stress-free state.



Tip 1:

Take deep breaths -inhale slowly through your nose and out through your mouth.

*To enhance your breathing:

-if possible, close your eyes

-perform this breathing exercise in an area that is free of clutter



Tip 2:

Write down or think of 5 things you are thankful for and reflect on each one individually for 3-4 minutes.

(These things should bring a smile to your face)



Tip 3:

Listen to music that makes you smile or dance or simply inspires you - OR - watch a funny movie - no intense story line just something to make you laugh

(If you'd prefer, gardening, reading a good book or calling a friend to talk about the weather are good alternatives to music or a movie)



And finally, know that whatever you are going through will pass, you will come out stronger on the other side- just as others have before you.
